Featuring a pierced gallery top and a fluted column base, this entirely black rendition echoes the graceful proportions and ingenious functionality of its historic predecessor. Though simplified in color, the table retains its timeless architectural elegance.

HISTORIC PROVENANCE


This piece is inspired by the ingenuity of an 18th-century German-made tilt-top table at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Originally designed with rotating and tilting capabilities, the Museum’s table allowed a host to serve tea in privacy, without the presence of servants. Eichholtz reinterprets the table’s form with modern restraint while honoring its innovation.
